2.3 Advanced Presentation Skills

Why needed

The experienced presenter is faced with the challenge of speaking to a wide variety of audiences, with different expectations & objectives. The programme offers the knowledge of how to use different structures and different techniques to meet these expectations and achieve the desired outcome. Each participant will have the opportunity to see the outcome of these techniques as they will be videotaped and coached. Also experienced presenters are often asked to talk to the ‘difficult’ audiences that no-one else wants to tackle. The programme offers specific methods to overcome these difficulties and injects participants with new enthusiasm and energy.

What the programme will cover:

  • Personal Strengths
  • Barriers for success
  • Structuring a presentation
  • Turning failure into success
  • Influencing the audience
  • Business presentation to difficult audience

What is accomplished

As a result of the programme individuals will be better able to:

  • Fine tune their delivery style to create maximum impact
  • Develop a more persuasive and impressive speaking style
  • Achieve more by presenting their ideas, products or services
  • Control personal presence to influence the audience
  • Win over difficult audiences
  • Use pace and structure more effectively for maximum results
  • Use language creatively to present a more powerful message
  • Deliver different styles of presentations for different audiences

Also participants will have learnt the skills of evaluating themselves and others more accurately. This paves the way for on-going learning, as they will be able to assess their own work each time they present in the real world and make improvements. Also they will carry on learning in daily life as they assess the presentations they hear from peers, competitors, politicians etc.
